my fridge died

i never thought i would be in this position but I’m in need of help rn! my fridge died while my gf and I were away for a few days and all of our groceries have spoiled 🤩 we contacted our landlord but they cant replace the fridge until Mon/Tues and won’t reimburse us for the cost of food. we have renters insurance but our deductibles are higher than the cost of our spoiled groceries. we CANNOT afford to eat out 2-3 times a day before our fridge gets replaced AND replace our groceries out of pocket. Anything you can spare would be greatly appreciated 🫶

The Whispering Deep:
A Dual Fandom MerMay Zine

The Whispering Deep (TWD) was a non-crossover Bleach and BNHA MerMay zine. This means that we produced 2 sets of zines, one Bleach zine and one BNHA zine. In addition, we had such a high volume of contributions, that fanfiction and fanart had to be physically separated into two different books to save on cost. Furthermore, we had over twice as many Bleach contributors as we had BNHA, which resulted in some fanfictoin being unable to make it to print due to page count limits on the manufacturer end. It has been quite the Endeavor (;]) working on this project, but we have done our very best to see it through to the end! The zines are currently in the final stages of formatting QC and will soon enter production.

TWD began with over 90 contributors (myself included) each creating multiple projects (in some cases up to 4) and only 3 moderators. This was an absolutely insane workload and I was brought onto the moderator team very early on along with a few of others due to the prolonged absence of 2 out of 3 of the standing mods. As this absence continued, I took on the role of head mod in all but name as I was the only person on the mod team that had experience in zines. I soon dropped out as a contributor and remained in the zine solely as a moderator. By the end of final submissions, 20 other contributors had dropped out and we had received a total of 100 submissions from the remaining 70 contributors.

I am extremely grateful to the graphics mods of TWD, I often asked them for graphics to be posted with very little notice but they never failed to deliver.

TWD was an extremely unorthodox zine.
